Coolidge White

Carolyn Preber has been trying to locate the parents and grandparents of Coolidge White who lived, was married and died in Wallingford, VT according to her family records. He was born in 1763. The only mention of Coolidge found is through his wife – Betsy Hutchinson White and his will which was contested by two of his children, Almira Hart and Isham White, in 1846.

Carolyn is related thru the branch of Henry Hewitt White born in 1828 s/o Isham who came to Wisconsin in 1867.

Her family legend states that they were descended from a Mayflower passenger. Although she’s traced Perrigrine White’s (1620 – Mayflower) family thru at least fieve generations no mention of Coolidge White has been found. Research on Resolved White’s descendants has not been successful.

Carolyn is traveling to Massachusetts in mid-September and will be visiting Plymouth, Mayflower II, and other historical sites and is hoping to have answered the question of her White lineage before her trip so that she can visit graveyards etc. while there.
